Light bar

Anybody ever put one of those eBay led light bars on their carbide? If so did draw to much amperage from the battery?

most 150cc buggies have 2 35w headlights so the charging system will handle 70w and still charge the batt. if you ran one of those 12" 72w deals it would probably be fine.

Not a light bar, but four 18W led's (two spots & two floods) on the top in addition to the two factory headlights below...my kart came with two more headlights on top.

Much better lighting and charging system appears to keep up with it just fine...total draw is only slightly increased over stock. Wired the LED's into the high beam circuit.

Changing to LED lights is definitely one of the best mods you can do to these buggies. I add them to all mine.

My kid's Kandi 49FM5 110cc buggy has 18w headlights. We wired the high beam switch to some 12w roof lights I installed. Very bright with no effect on charging, not sure of the amp draw. People in the neighborhood say it looks like the sun coming up when he comes over a hill lol.

On the GTR 300 I have 18w 1800 lumens lowbeam, and 24w 2500 lumens highbeam LED bulbs for the headlights. And 18w 1800 lumens LED flood lights for the roof. It not fun to look at when they're on.

I'll also be changing the Hammerhead GTS 250 to LED's whenever I get to working on it.

Ebay. They mostly come from China or California. Sometimes you can find some really decent deals if you're willing to search on there.

I'll take a look. Thanks! I wonder if the make an led bulb that fits in my hammerhead light fixtures?

You're welcome. As far as a LED bulb for your GTS 150, more than likely.

I replaced the headlights with LED fog lights and they are much brighter. I am also thinking of adding a lightbar on top next. Another worth while mod i did was buy led turn signals and tail light off of ebay. They are originally for motorcycles but they work perfectly on the buggy.

I have done this as well on my buggies. But you have to remember to buy a LED flasher module for these to function correctly.

mine worked without a special flasher.

That's uncommon. Usually you get something called hyper flash, meaning it flashes very quickly.
