Helix CVT cover bolts

I can't remove the 8mm cvt cover bolts. The heads round off before the bolts will break loose. I'm using a good quality socket and closed in wrench to no avail. Any suggestions?

They have some loctite on them. Make sure you are using a good 6 point socket on them. You do NOT want to round those puppies out cause they will be very difficult to get out otherwise. Sometimes when they are that tight, it helps to heat them up too.

What the Buggymaster said, use a good 6 point socket. If locktite was used a 12 point socket will not due the trick. Tom

Thanks. I'll get a six point.

The six point socket made a world of difference. Even gone the one I had rounding off out.
I ordered a "bolt out" kit that will not be needed, at least not right now. Again thanks for the help.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.
