CN250 jetting?

I was very surprised when I opened up the carb on the Coolster and found a 110 main jet in it. I put a 114 in it that I had from one of the Helix buggies. I wonder what the though process is in using such a small jet in a 250. Maybe that's how they get the C.A.R.B. approval on it.

hey patny im in newburgh ny is your buggy running rich with the set up in the carb?

SYCARMS 08-10-2010 01:04 AM

One reason for the small jet is the 250 uses a 29mm carb as to the 24mm - 26mm on the 150 TOM

to small
do any mods will run lean

I've heard from a few folks that they put small jets in for emissions. Dont know if thats true but it's a though.

Too lean of a mixture puts out pollutants as well. To get past epa fuel has to be burned as completely as possible. Unburnt fuel puts out hydrocarbons , but too lean mixture puts out another polutant for which I forget the name. TOM

If you dont remember the name then it dont count Tom. LOL
