Have sponsor, need participants.

my proposal,
i would like to sponsor a buggy rally.
reasons? i would like to meet and ride with other buggy drivers/owners.

plan? well there are so many ways to work this. trail adventure? scramble? a combination of the two.i am open to any thing, but i will need help with this. i work alot. 70 to 90 hours a week. and i am not the best at organizing anything. i have a general concept, locations, bar-b-ques, and contests, but the details, well....

budget? so far, about $1,250, and i am unlikely to be able to increase this, as it would cut into my hh ss250 budget, (hopefuly i will have it by the time of said event) and i can't have that.

when? towards the end of august, so i have time to pre-run trails, locations, campsites, etc...

where? michigan, ohio, illinois, or where ever it can happen, prefferably michigan.

mission? if you can get there, you can participate. i will provide all that i can. you simply need to show up, and have fun. karts and mini buggies only.

what i have. i have a chase vehicle to meet at trail heads, and to carry tents, tools, and fuel. but i only have one, so it will have to be optimized. if in michigan, you will have to have a MI. state ORV sticker, you can get your own or i will provide them as requested.

what i need. participants, and a little help with getting it together. a theme would be cool, like father /son, or dirtiest wins.

anyone interested? pm me or respond here.

well, i have never been to a buggy rally or buggy bash because they have always been at least a 5-6 hour drive in any direction for me. i can't say right now if i could commit (would depend on where and when) but it sure sounds like a great time. i'm in n.e. ohio (about 3 hrs. from the michigan border)

Contact Vinny, [Krusecontrol on this forum] He will get you hooked up with the MBRA-[ Mini Buggy Riders Association] They will give you assistance. Tom, the president, will have tons of info for putting on a event. There a a couple of leagues in the northeast with a good member base that will welcome such an idea. If any of you have never participated in a buggy rally, I highly recommend it! The experience is priceless.

so it is down to a choice of three, a scramble at my property in sand lake, a three day adventure ride to silver lake sand dunes, or go all out and hit drumand island. i have been slammed at work 12 to 14 hours a day, with no day off in the near future, so the details are still an issue, but i am starting to get things in order. looking at some time in august, before school starts. no registration or participation fees. just bring your kart and have fun.

Why not go to the buggy bash in June? It's at st.joes st. park. Last year we had buggies from like 23 states and probly upwards of 50 buggies. We ride 16hr one way to get to it

northern michigan lp, but i am flexible. there are also some great places in ohio. i was thinking silver lake sand dunes, or my property in sand lake aka the mosquito farm, but very sandy. and drummand island in the up, but lots of people would have a very long drive. i have also considered the meadow point trail system, and the mounds. both in mid michigan. any suggestions would be helpful.

i've never riden up in michigan but i've heard there are many great places to ride throughout the state. from trails to mud to sand dunes.
