you want brighter lights?

I just put led lights on my buggy without changing out any electrical components like stator regulator etc. My buggy comes with 22 watt bulbs I put 18 watts led and they are 3 to 4 times brighter than stock. Thought I'd share this with you all.

Also if your lights go brighter or dimmer when accelerating just FIP the two wires around.

LEDs are awesome! The best part is the efficiency, honestly. I've got them wired around my computer desk for some cool lighting effects, I was gonna do that to the Yerf if I had a bit of $$$ burning a hole in my pocket but I never got the chance. Ground effects lighting anyone??? :p

I'm talking about LED strip lighting btw

Are they a stock size replacement bulb or did you install new lights?

Miamieddie 02-09-2015 09:33 AM

complete lights. $35 for a set on CL.

LED is the way to go. not the cheapest but the most bang for the buck in my opinion. every toy i own has LED lights. they are brighter and draw much less amperage which is great for the buggys with a limited power supply. a standard 55w halogen bulb will draw about 5-6 amps. an equivalent LED will draw about 1.5-2 amps

you could run a four light system to accomodate low/high beams (lower lumen for low and higher lumen for high beams) but the lamps we use for forward lighting are not dimmable. just the ones you use in the house are.
