Nice! I've struggled with trying to shoot ride video. I have a cheap helmet cam with too low of a framerate, so everything distorts and plays back lagged out. My JVC hard drive camcorder seems to be too sensitive and cuts out on the first bump --- even in my bird, the first shift of the trans (an auto no less) shuts it off. As far as the software goes, I'm using NCH videopad video editor, think i paid $30 for it about 5-6 years ago. Works ok, but i'm sure there's much better out there. i have a few onboard and static vids buried in my yerf thread somewhere.

I used my sons IPOD NANO ! It does a ok job not HD or anything but for 50.oo bucks from the local Pawn shop i guess it gets the point across !

The back yard run is going to be longer do to the trails but ill make it short do to not wanting to sit in front of the PC for 10 hours while it uploads to youtube!
But atleast everyone will get to see the terrain i have to play with , Just no hills down here in florida ! grrrrrrr
But will be using a freinds dozer soon to make some jumps !

That was a good vid!!! I quit editing for the most part!!!I just start and stop vid's that I can link toghether. I wish I knew why you're having such looong upload times on youtube- mine usually finish (2-3mins). I'm cheap!! so I just use what came with XP, windows movie maker.

LOL i took a car wax buffing disc and bungy strap it to the front frame !
It seem to buffer some of the vibration ! Redneck camera mont but hey i guess i can put it anywere on the buggy . Neat little ipod Nano but were they put the camera on it is right were you put your finger to hold it !

Do what you can with what ya got !

my uploads are really long, probably because i shoot in UltraHQ mode all the time. I think being an internal hard disk drive camcorder is what causes it to shut down, too many vibes and the drop detection kicks in. I did get a semi-successful shoot with it by wrapping it double in a chunk of tempur-pedic style mattress foam and taping it to the seat. then the issue was my battery was just too used up to take a charge and i ended up with a coupel really short runs --never did get angle and position to my liking either.

I can so relate to that, last year when we met up with the guys from Florida out here and six Pilots all together, most of my riding day the d@mn camera was off. I was excited to get home that night and check out the video only to find out there wasn't any.:banghead: The cheep camera I was using was kind of hard to tell when it was on or off. To top it off, not long after that I was out riding and when I got back to the truck it was gone. It fell off my Pilot somewhere out in the Rio Puerco, never to be found again. :(
