carter talon with ninja 250 motor.

hey guys new to the forum but just finished my buggy build, lol guess im not 100 percent complete but i don't think these thing are ever complete but the pic below is the front of the buggy.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psfbvk15zu.jpg

this here is a pic of the back with the motor and fan.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...pszjarmgzf.jpg

this pic is a little bit better view of the motor and how it sits in there you can also see the cradle and how i fab. it so it could still articulate back and forth.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psia5fjmka.jpg

the next two are the exhaust i turned the two into one behind the seat and warped it for heat resin and then brought it down the passenger side into two lawn mower mufflers and one baffle that i had laying around.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psm6bsgseq.jpg

these two pics are of the shiftier set up used a b and m race automatic push pull shiftier cable mounted in the back with angle iron and flat stock to the shift arm, in the front i used flat stock and cut a slit it the tube frame slid it down in there and walh lah. use a old ratchet for the handle and old dirt bike clutch lever for the clutch

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psd805vb0o.jpg

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psvkqlrhxl.jpg

these next few are how i dealt with the chain tension er or lack of, originally i had a chain tension er spring loaded style but it seam to always pop and jump when you got in it or letting of the gas slowing down, you had to press the clutch or it would pop and jump, so i cut my losses and cut the brackets that hold the axle and drilled slots and welded a piece of all thread so the axle could be pulled back and thus adjusting the chain seams to work really well very happy with it.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psvarsphnc.jpg

this here is the battery location i used a lawn mower battery there cheaper and more cranking power so i used flat stock and bent it to form to the battery and cut what was needed to sink it into the luggage rack. i think the location worked out pretty well.

this pic it the gas tank location didnt want to put it back to stock location well dont think i could so i put it off to the side so there would still be a little luggage rack left lol just used angle iron and bent a L shape braket and self tappers.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psqotempof.jpg

this is the new dash board got just the basics ignition and push to start neutral light pull choke lights and fan the fan switch is a manual over ride of the auto temp relay just in case it fails in the trails, o also the temp gauge.

this one is the back tire put shorter tires on the back for off the line torque they are 20 instead of the 22 that carter had on there.

Starting on a build along the same lines. using a 250R Ninja. They are rated at around 30 hp.
