Replacement Oil Filter for Carbide/Quantum 150
 

Hey everyone. I just recently picked up a Carbide/Quantum 150 and wanted to do a bit of maintenance before running it too much. I'd like to do an oil and filter change but I'm not sure where exactly I might find these filters in Canada.

Does anyone know if there are any other filters that will fit in their place? Any information is appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to becoming a part of your community.

if that motor is the 150cc with the ID stamp 157QMJ,( This number is located on the case at the front below the cvt cover) , the motor does not have a filter. Only a filter screen at the drain plug. Simply remove the drain plug the filter screen will come out with the plug. clean the screen, replace the oil and your set to go! Frequent oil changes and a good quality oil such as a 4 stroke specific or a synthetic gives the best service life.

Oh it definitely has the black oil filter behind the battery tray. I believe I read that this model comes with an oil cooler.
