BuggyBash 2011
I would just like to let everybody know about the 2011 Buggy Bash the last weekend in June which is held at the St. Joes State Park in Missouri just South of St Louis. This is an anual event which is in its 6th year. We have people comming from all over the USA. Most people will be arriving on Thursday night and Friday morning with several of us getting there as early as Tuesday. You can ride the trails or sand as well as hills to climb. We have loosely organised events such as hill climb, drags, scramble as well as events for the kids. If you attend it is guarenteed to be loads of fun the whole time. Meet all kind of buggy nuts from all over and of all ages. This year looks to be our biggest bash yet, but spots are running out. The park is one of the cleanest I have been to with heated showers and maintained bathrooms(no lysol or seat covers needed). If interested you can either google buggybash 2011 or pm,e-mail, or call me

This thread looked lonely, so I thought somebody should jump in.

Oh Ron is full of good ones lately.I'm still laughing at his last one.

That was taken at St. Joe's from three years ago. Hopefully there'll be some rain before we get there. There's a cool run off area that leaves these little bowls of water that are a couple feet deep and fun to drive through, especially if it's hot. Dude, you're gonna love it!

Here's some pics from that year.
It was perfect. Me, my brother-in-law Jamie (you'll meet him this year), and my best friend went. The weather was perfect that year, nice cool nights, no bugs, we ate like kings - I mean we feasted, it was great. I brought the buggy and the quad, they brought their quads. It was an absolute blast. So, Jamie and I talked our families into going the following year, me, the wife, the boy wonder, Jamie, his wife and daughter, my wife's other brother, his wife and two kids, and my father-in-law. It was hot as Hades. They stayed in a hotel and me and Jamie stayed at the campground. We brought waaaaay too much food, nothing went as planned, but we still had fun. I lost count, but I think we bought a good 30 bags of ice over 5 days. Met Tom this year as we camped next to him. Met Karl (Funnyman) again who, at this time, had never posted on Buggynews although he had gone to every Buggy Bash. We met Karl the year before at Kentucky. Last year it was me, the wife, the wonder child, Jamie and his daughter. This time we made a grocery list at home and then shopped for food when we got there. Again, a good time. Camped between Tom and Funnyman. I think it will probably be the same crew this year, but Jamie's wife may come. Looking forward to another great Bash. |
Guarenteed to be one of if not the best time of your life. The people are great. Were like a big family. And then there's Karl (funnuman) he does the hamberger haven every year, he feeds everyone. Words cannot describe him, other he is the greatest person you will ever meet. Anyone out there looking for a great time you need to make the drive and join the fun.

This is the second thread about the bash and still no intrest. Crazy to me. This will be our third year and you snooze you loose
|
no doubt Chuck-O. This is the one trip I try my best to make sure I make every year. I truely cherish the 'buggy family' I get to spend some time with each year!

It seems this year we have a bunch of newbe"s comming. I would not miss it for the world. Last year Erik and I had the time of our life. In fact we tried the father son bonding bit on the 100 trail. We had the camp site for Sunday night figuring there would be several people left. Once we realised just about everyone left on Sunday we looked at each other and commented on what a good time we had and that it was too depressing to stay with everyone gone, so we packed up and left talking the good time all the way home. If anyone here has or can get time off the end of June you should come. Most people are driving anywhere from 5-10 hours with several driving 15 or more hours. PGH and wife are comming from Seattle, and I can personally guarentee you to have the time of your life. As stated earlier the restrooms are spotless with hot water in the showers. Everything we do is loosely organized except one thing which would be having fun fun fun. Come on guys just come to one and you'll regrett not coming to the previous ones

I had to miss last year but I will not miss this year
|
Well after my first time last year it would take a lot to make me ever miss one again. The best time in the world with the best folks in the world. Also there is a nice swimming area as well. If you are really into Buggies you have to do yourself a favor and check this one out.
