Dazon 150cc

Looking for a Dazon 150cc in any condition.

bear 01-02-2013 06:40 PM

Craigslist is ur best place to start! I got 2 of em for $900 in June they're singles but they're a blast!!!

Mike322 01-02-2013 06:47 PM

I've been looking on Craigslist. Nothing around me. I missed 2 double seaters less then 5 miles away for 2200 for both couple of months ago. Since then junk.

bear 01-03-2013 07:26 AM

Patience

Took me 9mos. of looking to find these, but was well worth it!

bear 01-04-2013 05:52 PM

Have u tried buggy finder or yakaz?

bear 01-10-2013 07:44 AM

Hey Mike any progress on the buggy hunt?

Mike322 01-10-2013 08:30 AM

Found a two seater Dazon in South Carolina near Greenville for $900. Little too far to look at. He only had one picture and doesn't seem like he wants to send anymore. Still looking.

bear 01-10-2013 09:15 AM

So have u tried the other 2 sites yet?

bear 01-21-2013 10:03 AM

Maybe u found ur middleman there zman?

zman007007 01-21-2013 06:52 PM

sounds more like I would be the middle man lol

3boysandacart 01-31-2013 10:27 AM

I just found a Dazon Red raider in Lexington NC CR for $965 and a Crossfire 150 no reverse for $400 in Woodleaf NC...

bear 01-31-2013 12:14 PM

Crossfire sounds like a good deal, but I know from personal experience the Dazons are very durable too! sounds a little pricy though.

SLESTAK75 01-31-2013 01:26 PM

Crossfire makes me nervous..............all those bullets flying around.............no thank you.

bear 01-31-2013 02:56 PM

But you could get a reverse gear kit for it @ $200 and the bullets would b flyin' the other way & you'd have a sweet croosfire for cheap!

zman007007 02-01-2013 06:36 PM

I need a reverse kit for my crossfire, where is one available for $200? $400 is what I paid for my crossfire and had to put on a new carb., and it runs great. zman

bear 02-02-2013 12:24 PM

Here n there

I've seen them on a few different sights like buggy depot and such, but I'm gonna advise you chek with Tom @ sycpowersports, to make sure you get exactly what you need, can't go wrong with Tom!

SYCARMS 02-02-2013 01:47 PM

Your going to need the longer output shaft, shifter assembly(welder not included),cable, brkts, and reverse box. ********** used to sell the whole kit for the yerfdog but I do believe it cost more then 200.00. Don't know if they still sell the complete set but I would try them first. A good reverse case will run you 200.00 alone, there are cheaper ones out there but they tear up easily and don't last half the time a good one will .

bear 02-02-2013 03:02 PM

I knew you'd have the answer Tom!

zman007007 02-08-2013 07:58 PM

I saw one on that Bay site for $179 and it had the shifter handle on it. what would I need besides it and the longer shaft. I can fabricate the upfront shifter mech myself.

SYCARMS 02-09-2013 11:37 PM

All I can tell you is what it will need since I have no idea what the Bay site has. Shifter handle detent/ bracket, cable, rev box, long shaft to fit that rev box, shaft spacer for rev. box used, small sprocket, support brkts. for rev box.

zman007007 02-10-2013 06:01 PM

reverse gear

heres a pic of it Tom thanks for any help. as far as the shifter handle I"m sure I can come up with some kind of up front shifter for it. I am pretty good at fabricating and what I dont have at home I can get from work, or buy. thanks again zman

zman007007 02-10-2013 06:05 PM

reverse gear

some more pics of it

zman007007 02-10-2013 06:15 PM

I goofed up on the 2nd set of pics duh huh lol

SYCARMS 02-10-2013 07:07 PM

That looks like no other rev unit for a GY6 engine. It almost looks as it is for a shaft drive. I wouldn't think it will work.

zman007007 02-11-2013 06:30 PM

another kind then on Ebay

heres some pics of another kind that I think is more like what I need. the shaft in the 1st pic is sold by another seller.

SYCARMS 02-11-2013 11:45 PM

Depending on which gear box you get there are 3 different long shafts that are known of. Two are common ones used in many of the buggies, but one is an odball which was found on cheaper buggies. Of the 2 common shafts one is getting harder to come by which was used by Carter. The other shaft was used by HammerHead and Kinroad and other better brands. You need to make sure the shaft is the correct one for the rev box. I worked with a customer not too long ago and neither of the shafts I had access to would work. Finally he set his mind on one of the 2 I had and tried to make it work which he did but constantly had problems with chain and finally the box went bad. This was due to it not linning up properly. The problem today is nobody uses the external rev. box for they have all gone to the internal rev. If you get a kit make sure that either you get a kit with the proper shaft or know before you purchase the rev box if the shaft you will be getting will fit the gearbox correctly. There was a place who used to sell the complete kit with shifter handle assy, cable and the proper shaft for which I had mentioned before but I guess admin edited it cause the next time I looked at the post the name was edited out. I guess that is a no no. If you PM me I'll let you know who it is but I'm not sure if he has them anymore. If not he may be able to steer you in the right direction.

xlint89 02-12-2013 01:11 AM

Tom, anytime you try to post the other other guy's place, it is edited out. I think it's out of respect for the vendors that support this site.

Zman, I have that shaft you have posted in the pic (197mm long) if you're interested in it for $25 shipped. Like New, maybe had 5 miles on the shaft?

I will say that the longer one (I think it's a 212mm) worked out best for me on my Howhit GY6 (Yerfdog) That is why I no longer need the 197mm

zman007007 02-12-2013 05:59 PM

after hearing this Tom I think pushing it backwards may not be as bad as having trouble with it all the time, especially with not knowing exactally what I need, thanks for the help though.

zman007007 02-12-2013 06:00 PM

xlint I appreciate it, but I am not sure exactally what would work.

zman007007 02-12-2013 06:03 PM

with my luck it would be the longer one I need too.

bear 02-12-2013 09:50 PM

Rarity!

Honest to goodness very rarely us my reverse at all Zman, and thats the truth! bet I haven't used it more than 5 times since I've had the buggy's combined. Just build that bad boy to go thru anything!!!

SYCARMS 02-12-2013 10:14 PM

I agree just build that bad boy. Obama has just said everything is good with the economy and that we can do anything if we put our minds to it with Congress's cooperation, so call your congressman and tell hin to cooperate and start building. The link below will show what you can do, so call tomorrow.:banghead::crying:

Mike322 01-16-2019 08:04 PM

My buggy in my avatar is for sale. 2005 I think, Dazon Raider. It’s in great shape. Brake master cylinder might need replacing. Little sticky(probably from not riding). We just don’t ride it anymore. $1200
Please email me at mikesteele322@gmail.com if interested.

Yes it is. I have a daughter that I was thinking about getting the same buggy for, but that time has pasted us bye. We have had lots of fun on this fine machine. Time for someone else to enjoy.

Mike322 02-14-2019 03:45 PM

Price dropped to $1,000 on a great running buggy.

EVILWS6 02-15-2019 01:51 AM
