Howitt 150 gy6 go cart issue
 

Bought a used gy6 cart that was well taken care of buy older user. I noticed it seem like the clutch would slip going up hills. I replaced the clutch and it was better but still had this lurch at time going up hill.

I decided to change the belt and bell cover. Same size as the original. Now it moves in reverse as soon as you touch the peddle
which it did not before, but now looses power going up hill to were you have to back down and get a good run on before you start going up. Could the belt be too tight?

Any suggestions?

Could it be other parts that may need replaced i.e. spring, weights, etc?

on kid N me you tube videos they say if you replace clutch you probably need to replace main torque spring also.

Open ur cvt and check ur variator weights it might of shifted when you put ur belt on... also get a yellow main clutch spring. :)
