New buggy owner with a question about Crossfire
I just purchased a used Crossfire 150. I have read a few things on the web, and I am somewhat confused as to what I purchased. I see that the crossfire 150 R comes with disc brakes out front....the standard 150 does not have any front brakes at all. At some point, did Tomblin add front brakes to the standard 150?
I do not know what year this one is or when it was purchased...I only know it says Crossfire 150 and no R designation, and that it is yellow like all the standard 150's i see on the web. However, this one DOES have front hydraulic disk brakes, and the previous owner says it is 100% stock. Any ideas?? http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...IMG_5206-1.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...t/IMG_5205.jpg |
The reverse models came later. The crossfire is a great machine actually. See our review in the reviews section. Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the welcoming. I already had an issue I must address, but it's a simple fix I'm sure. I started it up this afternoon and it ran a few minutes then backfired and died. I smelled burning plastic and and found a small puff of smoke coming from ignition coil. The coil now has a burn mark and a small crack...no idea why it happened but I ordered a new one and hope to have it by next week sometime.

There are modification kits for reverse and and front brakes from Buggy Depot. If you source the parts, you can do this on your own.
