cn250 excessive oil from vent?
Hi. I installed a cn250 in my baja 150. It runs great but I have a ton of oil blowing out of the crank case vent tube when wide open. I then installed an oil catch can after doing some reseach, but it blows right out that to. The can has 3 ports, 2 on the bottom 1 on the top. The vent from the head to the crankcase had a "t" in it so I assumed the open port on the "t" was for the vent to atmosphere.i hooked that to 1 port on the bottom, then the other port on the bottom back to the adapter at the oil fill. The top port on the can is open. So why am I getting so much oil still? Please help.

Blow by can cause a lot of crank case pressure, too much oil can too.

Thanks. I checked the oil level and that's good. I was hoping it wasn't excessive blowby, the shop I got the engine from said it was good running condition before removing it to put a larger engine in.

A compression test should give you the info you need
|
Yea, that ll be next. Any idea where to find a manual for it?

Never even seen a repair manual for a Chinese buggy..lol The user manuals are so generic they're mostly useless.

Ok. With that said, it runs great, and has plenty of power. So when I put a gauge on it how would I know where it should be?

I think between 130 and 150 but that's just what I've read on this site.

May have a bad oil ring.
