We had quite the opposite here, ball python, 2 cats, a dog, all males, and now my son, lol.

mb1134 05-15-2013 07:33 AM

Since this has gotten so far off subject... I may as well add my 1/2 cent. Me, 2 sons, 2 stepsons, 1 male cat, 1 wife and 1 female dog outside. Talk about a sausage fest.

Masteryota 05-15-2013 07:51 AM

Well, I really don't have any business here, just scoping out what everyone is trying to offload. I'm not using the GY6, so I'm just here for the laughs.

xlint89 05-15-2013 10:12 PM

Those sliders are a good deal. Too bad I already have them. :(

arkangel 05-19-2013 09:27 PM

Any of this stuff left?

I happen to have just acquired a Yerf Dog 3206. Not too familiar yet with the specifics of the Howhit engine compared to other GY6 engines. If those items will fit my motor I would be interested in most of what you have. Correct me if I'm wrong but I will need a new variator to make efficient use of new rollers/sliders, and vice versa? This will be my first CVT teardown. Let me know what I need and what's available and we'll go from there.

mb1134 05-20-2013 05:59 AM

You dont need a new variator. Its just a good investment upgrade. The aftermarket variators are usually larger in diameter and allow for higher belt travel than the stock variators do. The ramps in them are usually different angles too from what i have seen in my stock variator and these 2. The DR2 has 2 different angles which allows you to use a lighter weight to adjust your low end, and a heavier weight toadjust your top end speed. Either one is a good investment. Some people stick with the stock variator and are happy with their results. Others like myself see better results with the performance variators. Its all preferenece. I prefer an upgraded variator and wouldnt use my stock unless i was just on a tight budget.

$95 shipped for DR2 kit and $90 Shipped for the Dr Pulley kit

What did you think about red springs? Clutch arms and main?

mb1134 08-30-2013 07:17 AM

The main spring was good. I would run it on a more stock gy6 as i dont need to stay in low gear that long with the BBK and head work. The clutch springs, i never used, i just took them off of my new clutch when it came in and ran my 1.5k springs. The clutch springs though will give you more bite on take-off because you will be between 2500 and 3k engine rpm when your clutch engages for take off.

2SlickNick 08-30-2013 07:25 AM

thanks. I am considering your red main spring. I will let you know.... Thanks for the reply.

jimmymc2286 09-22-2013 06:13 PM

1.5K main spring.

I will take the1500 main spring.

Now that's a smart man, all the males are inside with the females put outside. But I just cannot figure how you do that.:laugh2:

Would rather stick the 2 stepkids outside and let the dog and wife in.:hooaray::ack:

SYCARMS 11-04-2013 10:59 AM

How is that buggy running?

mb1134 11-05-2013 05:22 AM

Right now...Its not. Havent even messed with it. I gapped the rings on the new piston and haven't touched it since. I take it the solid black ring is the top compression ring and the other with the sliver edge is the scraper ring correct? I notice the rings have a number and letter on the edges near the gap. Do the letter and number indicate which side has to face up or down? I believe the problem with the 250 may be that yellow main spring. I read up at different places that it is not recommended on the CN250. Maybe it doesn't allow for my pulley to open far enough, keeping my speed down?

SYCARMS 11-05-2013 10:39 AM

The rings will have a number and letter on one side, the numbers face up. The chrome ring is the top ring the black is the second ring. I use the yellow torque spring in my Joyner with excellent results.

mb1134 11-06-2013 05:48 AM

Why is the yellow spring so much longer than the other colors?
