150 XRS Fuel Tank Cap
 

Running good here, but have an annoying rattle that occurs when fuel is below 1/2 full. The stock cap on the TrailMaster uses (2) ball bearings (one marble size, the other smaller than BB size), located underside of cap, allows air escape, closes for vac when operating. However, just from vibration - the ball bearings rattle like heck - and fuel tank is right behind seats - head high. Annoying.

Likely hard to substitute - but has anyone found a replacement cap that uses passive relief design, vs. these ball bearing rattle traps ? Searched forum, saw some asking about a fuel gauge cap - but all we need is a passive cap that fits....

No rattle when fuel is full down to 1/2 - likely just a "frequency" thing related to tank weight, we guess.

Loud aftermarket performance exhaust system should remedy the situation , and/or stereo , yea , that's the ticket . :banana::lmao:

I think I'd go with the performance exhaust! Yes that's the correct and approved fix.
