Ingntion Switch question
 

I have a Yerf Dog and the starter solenoid went out. I picked up a universal solenoid and when I check the voltage out of the switch, I do not have 12v to activate it when I turn the key.

I have 2 green wires leaving the switch - when I measure across them I get +12 volts. When I flip the leads I get -12 volts. I am perplexed.

There is a brown wire that has a constant 12V when the switch is on.



I can hook up an external push button to start but I wanted to use the original key to start. Any advice?

Yerf's came with a on/off switch , and a Push Button Start . I don't think your keyed ignition switch is original .
