Helix with CDI and UNI Filter!

Everybody seems to want a UNI filter so we decided to test it against our track and see if there is really any difference at all. Sometimes mods are more hype than reality. The only way to really tell is to do a timed event. Because this is an easy mod, we were able to do a benchmark before and compare it to an after-run. (I did not do videos of these runs as it is resource intensive and possibly overkill considering we have many other helix track attack runs on video)

The Helix seems to be getting faster and faster every time we run it which I attribute to it getting broke in. Today was no exception. We are running with nothing more than a CDI box from BigE. Everything else is stock. We put the cones out to insure that the runs would not have any cut corners.

Baseline numbers (before UNI):

Standing start: 37:41
Rolling start: 35:94 (smoookkkin run!)

We plopped the UNI on and ran it again:

Standing start: 36:78 (current track record holder!)
Rolling start: 35.50

From seat of the pants the machine does have a stronger feel to it too.

Looks like all of the hype is well founded. Every little bit helps!

Both are really easy mods. Not much to them.
