GY6 for sale
 

i have a tested and running GY6 for sale. Originally came in a Sunl SLGK150. External reverse type engine.

Does NOT come with reverse gearbox /brackets but does have the correct output shaft.

Original head, valvetrain and cam has been swapped for a large valve head/cam/valvetrain from a crossfire. Original head had a stripped sparkplug hole. ("gift" from previous owner LOL)

New head and flywheel-side gaskets, clean internals, no metal in the oil. No leaks, doesn't smoke, starts up on the button.

On the cvt-side, has a good condition belt, stock clutch, good 10g rollers, in clean pockets/ramp & variator fan with no broken vanes.

Comes with a carb that will likely need a cleaning, re-jet and has cut FEV wires.

It will also need a new set of motor mount bushings for the top fronts.

carb/filter and muffler shown in test run video do Not come with it, don't think my wife would be too happy (they're from her baja reaction)

Tested with fan/shrouds off, those will be installed prior to shipping.

that looks like exactly what i need. i will also need the the reverse gear box. do you have any details on the gear box i will need. looking online there are several kinds. i want to make sure i get the correct one the 1st time.. hahaha

i posted in your thread, btw, welcome aboard! hard to tell what you have/need just yet. if that's a 150 in yours, it may still have the reverse box on it. It's basically a round two sided "box" with a planetary gearset that slips onto the output shaft. it's different between the 150s and 250s though.

well i get home from work on 27th. currently out of the country. but as soon as i get home i will take a look and get back with you ASAP. would be great if i can get the buggy up and running befor xmas.

Does that engine have the motor mounts on the bottom also or just on top

one on the bottom (just a lug style mount) by the oil dipstick boss.
