:stupid::banghead:Well fellows an girls Learned a lesson.YOU CANNOT LEAVE KEY ON IT WILL GET THE CDI.

Did not know that! Have, fortunately, never left a buggy or scooter key on though. Would not have thought that would burn one out either, because it should not build up any more heat, than if it was running.... interlestink, velllllly interlestink

Can't say that's true about all engines- The kid's leave the key on all the time (overnight) with the Honda TRX200SX engines and only had to jump start it. Can't remember how often this occured with the GY6's and didn't have a failure. What's the exact engine/buggy this occured with?

You're just a tad too far away for a "house call" Zapper...LOL...sorry.

Zapper 07-01-2012 04:05 PM

Doesn't hurt to ask

kliff 07-01-2012 04:09 PM

Not at all, wish I could be there.

metalstudman1 07-01-2012 05:23 PM

I'd definitely help if I were closer- I'm not an electrican but when I have a buggy/whatever I always manage to figure it out thru common sense by simply tracing things down. I feel your frustration though- good luck and hope someone has answers for you.

Zapper 07-01-2012 05:29 PM

I wish it was just points cond.coil I would be done with this.I will try to do a complete rewire connectors and all.
