Did not know that! Have, fortunately, never left a buggy or scooter key on though. Would not have thought that would burn one out either, because it should not build up any more heat, than if it was running.... interlestink, velllllly interlestink

Can't say that's true about all engines- The kid's leave the key on all the time (overnight) with the Honda TRX200SX engines and only had to jump start it. Can't remember how often this occured with the GY6's and didn't have a failure. What's the exact engine/buggy this occured with?

I'd definitely help if I were closer- I'm not an electrican but when I have a buggy/whatever I always manage to figure it out thru common sense by simply tracing things down. I feel your frustration though- good luck and hope someone has answers for you.
