Cracks .... How concerned should I be?

Looks to me like not much life left before these let loose. Would cracking like this contribute to belt wear from the pulley plates flexing outward?

Yes- "lots" of vibration should've been going on. Don't know how it was working at all - It's TOAST.

heh, i put it back together--all nicely cleaned ...and ran it about 3/4 mile .... me thinks i should play the lotto today, no? the tec motor is going on the mini shark and the 9hp robin on the yerf. My plastic cover is pretty broken up around the screws, i'm going to make steel ones for both carts to contain these better should the worse case scenario ever arise. I had enough heavy metal fly past me in my days shooting the line. The thought of this letting loose with me and my daughter in it scares the hell outta me.

ouch, that ain't good.
what's the other side look like?
my new china driven has twice the rivet count; should negate that issue

both pulley plates are cracked around all the rivets and the cracks extend over the center flats and hairline into the angled part of the plate.

Think i'd rather spring for some kevlar body armor and steel plate ....
