I have a 59mm kit on my wifes hammerhead, it has been on there for 2 years with no trouble. you can put a 39 tooth on it

The big bore kit works great and will last provided you get a quality part.Buy only a quality part which generally costs more along with correct installation and maintenance it will last indefinately.

buyatvsonline.com has the 39 tooth for a good price. WE have 2 dune 150s one with a 31/16 sprokets and a 39/16 the 39 tooth is good for climbing but the buggy dosnt pull as good on take off. But the variator on the 31/16 is doctor pulley with 10g sliders and the 39/16 buggy is a dr2 with 8/10 rollers. So far the best performance up grade was porting and removing the sharp edges and matching the plastic spacer on the intake. The plastic spacer was not exactly aligned. I spent 4 hours with a dremmel and used strips of duct tape to protect the valve seats. Used some valve lapping compound to make sure the valves were seated, just put a pice of vacume hose on the valve and rotaed each valve till the seat looked good . Our first trip to the desert in january I was blown away at how the buggy would pull mid to top end and the motor soundes deeper.
I only ported the head because I was going to buy a ported head and wasnt afraid to damage it. Just remember a little at a time because you can junk the head if you go hog wild. The intake port casting on this head was really rough and restricted. Good luck and have fun. I have more fun with this 10hp buggy than my 425hp 68 chevelle.
