Carbon build up !

I have had these crossfire 150 howit GY6 for about 1 year now ! I know their has been little to no maintence on these befor i bought them !
I have done lots to the motors.
Royal blue oil change
New plugs with plenty on hand
Clean and rejeted the carbs over and over again.
Gear oil change on a 10 to 15 hour regiment !
My question is what is the best way to clean the carbon out of the head !
Do i need to pull the motor to do so ?
I will be checking the valve clearence at the same time !
Any good tips or tricks to doing this ?
Thanks

I have yet to delve into these little things. You will have to pull the head, which means removing the cam chain ... Nearly all of the GY6 kart owners manuals available online have a section with step-by-step engine teardown and rebuild.

Get a can of seafoam engine cleaner and follow the instructions on the bottle. You can also trickle water from a cup down the carb with the engine running at fast rpm. This is a old timers trick. It basically steam cleans the chamber.

I was going to post the steam-clean tip, (done it plenty of times myself over the years on my older hi-mile beaters) but i'm a bit leery of it with these little engines.

Hey bro,,,
I work for Oreilleys,,,,and the SEAFOAM trick is about the best way to do an internal cleaning,,without tearin things up!!!!!
Ive gone so far as to pull the fuel line off,and let it suck the stuff straight in,,it should kill it,,,then let it sit for about fifteen min...then fire it up,,,itll smoke real bad at first,,,then take it out,,and run it,,,hard,,,itll blow the carbon out the exhaust,,,and itll run a hole lot better
