Mud+Pavement=...

FLIP! I was riding today and came out of a really muddy trail. My tires were really muddy coming onto the pavement. Soon enough i found myself sliding back and forth and ended up flipping. OWW! Can you say painful... So just make sure if you have muddy tires, go sloww on pavement when coming off a trail. Worse thing is... I wasnt wearing my helmet cause i was done with the trails.

Those tires slip so much with mud, but once they grab, your screwed.

roysheepdog 11-28-2009 08:49 PM

Sheckells29 11-28-2009 08:52 PM

The one that you just finished stripping and painting? That sucks! It's amazing how well the cages will do their job.

roysheepdog 11-28-2009 09:05 PM

Pretty much, the same thing happened to me but on a mountain bike. I was coming out of a muddy area onto pavement. The front of my tires was free of mud after a bit of riding, but the sides were not. When I took a sharp turn going really fast, my bike slid out from under me and one of my friends said I did a complete flip in the air! I don't remember flipping, all I remember was not being able to get up for about five minutes while the pain subsided.
