brake and reverse issues

ok i installed a new reverse cable but it dont like to shift back into forward. is cable to tight to loose any ideas? and second thing is brakes like to stick i changed the brake fluid and they still stick. if i open the bleeder they release for awhile but then start to stick again

sometimes you have to play with the cables to get them adjusted right. try little adjustments at a time and see how that works.
as far as the brakes go, i would say you have a caliper hanging up. you might try taking the caliper off and cleaning it up and lubricating it. make sure when you put it all back together to bleed the system of any air.

what kind of machine do you have?

First if you have the external reverse as stated take small adjustments, cable could be too tight or rev unit may need grease. On the brakes if they are hanging up and than free up when a bleeder is cracked open that tells you the pressure is not releasing which can be caused by either a restricted or kinked brake line, or brake rod to master cyl. is adjusted too tight, or the master cyl. piston is not returning . If just one brake is locking up than you want to look at that brake line, but if all are locking up than you would want to look at the master cylinder. TOM

my back brake was dragging on my quantum, and it was the push rod going to master cly, i got 2, one for front and one for rear, make sure you have a little free play in them not much but just a hair is enough
