The top of that roll cage has been re-worked ( probably to allow for the sled motor ) , but the buggy looks pretty solid. The VIN and model should be stamped into the frame on the left rear side next to where the cage attaches, right behind where it looks like the belt is.
The early oddy`s (77-84) did have front suspension, but none in the rear. The front suspennsion is a J-arm setup with a shock. Think bent trailing arm with a shock attached to the arm. Also, they only had rear brakes, not sure what they did with the brakes on this one ???
That thing should fly with that 400cc 2-smoke on there. My pretty much stock 84 model does close to 50 mph.
One thing you might wanna think about, that is a retrofitted motor on that buggy, so finding parts and help with any engine problems specific to it may be hard. There are a few good Oddy sites out there, may post up these pics at
