One thing to check with the primer bulb are the two screws that hold the air filter box to the carb. the nearest one seals the primer circuit. if it is loose, or the threads a little chewed up from being taken apart, it'll suck air and make priming/starting difficult. Remove the screw and apply a little dab of liquid teflon sealant to the threads. Do not use teflon tape. Under 60 degrees outside and mine needs about 10-20 seconds of slight throttle until it's warmed up. temps above that, it starts and idles no problem on 1-2 pulls.
