with the 3203, the clone motor and 30 series is the way to go. anything bigger that needs a 40 series is going to lead to the kart self destructing in the long run. You can get some decent power/upgrades out the the clones The investment to bulletproof the 3203 for hp levels beyond a modded clone 30 series isn't really worth the return unless you're an absolute yerf lunatic willing to dump a load of time and $s to create something that you could buy for a lot less money.

mini buggy--caged, full-suspension vehicle that is smaller than a dune buggy/sandrail and is intended to be off-road/all terrain capable.

yard kart, go kart --- i argue that the 3203 and other yerf, manco, carter etc single a-arm types fall into this category because their front suspensions aren't truly capable of surviving much off-road/all terrain use. I tried not to call my 3203 a mini buggy until it was able to withstand the all terrain use--and by then it was no longer a 3203 at all ...
