Awesome! I did not have a ground going to the engine block. I ran one from the electric panel to the engine block and the starter will fire when I short out the relay. (The push start button still does nothing) Only problem now is I have no spark. I removed the spark plug and set it on the tire while shorting out the relay, and I can see nothing happening.

I'm leaning towards blaming the start button/kill switch.. It is one of the few pieces still on the kart from the original motor/electrical system.

Ideas?
