LOL just ordered the cable.
Immediately after I wrote that, I realized my dad was actually home now (DOH) and I said "hey can we talk about the reverse cable?" and he responded "you mean the one we need to buy" and then I said "yep glad we're on the same page. I'm off the get it."
Went to gopowersports and got it for 29$. Cheaper than the 35$ I INITIALLY SPENT on the bike cable. What a mess that was... Sadly the buggy masters coupon code expired april 30.. oh well.
So far I have almost 70$ put in this damn cable ALONE. I should have done it correctly from the start... And if I can't creatively route the 61" cable around the kart (I only need 50") than I'll just re-mount the shifter 11" further away. LOL
