Those wires are for the starter interlock switch. What you normally would do is put one of them on one switch terminal, and one on the other, but then you would always have to keep the brake pressed to turn it on (a big pain in my opinion) so just keep it the way it is. I don't really mind putting the brake down to start. I tried putting them on separate things but the go kart wouldn't work then, again I'm pretty sure my master if messed up and I'm getting a new one soon anyway. But my biggest problem is the fact that if I leave them the way they are the brake light stays on all the time while the buggy is on of course and as I said before I already have to charge the battery pretty much every time between rides anyway, so I feel like this light being on all them time may have something to do with it.
