So I did have a slight chain clearance issue, so I decided to hack off one of the cross mounts and then run the support back up to top of frame.
I then put engine on, JS on, and connected everything for a quick test drive... It took off with plenty of torque. I hit the gas pedal for the second time and the torque bent and twisted my JS mount plate. ( it was only 1/8" thick)
So to remedy this I installed a HD 5" x 3" x 12" rectangle tube that is a 1/4" thick ( donated by a member on DIY gokarts).
I am currently waiting on some new JS bearings to come in the mail and will attempt to take it for another brake-less ride.
I am still looking to acquire a hydraulic brake caliper, line, and master-cylinder from an old atv, go kart or dirtbike. Then I will mount that up, upholster seat, paint, and enjoy......
