This is a great thread. My son's Kart has a Tecumseh 6hp that runs great but stopped idling yesterday. It starts with a couple pulls they after 10-15 sec dies. Restart... same.
I messed around with idle but to keep it running I had to hang onto the frame to keep it from rolling away by itself.
I pulled the aircleaner to see what was going on and it is getting gas beyond the priming squirts. I sounded like it was sucking air.
Perhaps the idle mix is off. Not sure why that would suddenly need adjsutment.
Any other ideas for a Kart that won't idle but runs fine otherwise?
