The Bulkhead is the portion of the front end that everything attaches to, control arms, steering rack, etc. The tongue is the portion of the main frame that the bulkhead bolts onto to.

The blaster shocks will work for the back, except you will need to modify the shock mounts for the wider eyelets. As for the front, I would say no, as they are too long for the stock mounting locations, and they will be too stiff.

I had the same issue with the brakes, the pedal was super soft, but it did stop once you smashed the pedal, I am thinking it was a failure inside the rubber hose, but tore it all down before I had a chance to look into it.
