The welded (lol) ball joint finally gave up.
also bought some stuff.

also got brake pads but they were too thick and the caliper wouldn't slide into the pads. So I ended using only one new pad... Brakes pretty good now!
Also can't decide whether to go with BD ball joints or heim joints? Is there a DIY for the heim joint setup?
