Sorry I didn't mean tach-I mean't speedo(as the tach wouldn't work too well off the speed of the axle!! you're right! there would have been a split plug going to the speedo,soleniod.
Did this resistor come with the motor? it's probably for the FEV.I'm assuming that the other bump is a solder point? the other solder button would go to the 2 prong plug for the FEV. 12v power in on the red wire, the other button would go to the yellow,the green would be the ground for the FEV. You can just make another bullet style or spade connection splice and remove the FEV's plug end. The same would be true for the big plug from the front when you isolate what wire goes where.
