no problem with worrying about overheating ...beats killing an engine. If the fan running all the time doesn't bother you, then you're good to go. i'm not familiar enough with these engines to know what their ideal operating temperature is.

I know for one of my cars a ten to 15 degree difference does affect performance--most guys run that particular engine a little too cool 170-185 and tend to worry if they're in the 200s--and waste a lot of money on aluminum rads etc, but 195-210 is its sweet spot.

What temp did it originally run at?
