Also, on helmets, make sure you are wearing AT LEAST a DOT approved full face or 3/4 helmet and eye protection. A SNELL approved helmet is better, but DOT impact certification should not be looked past. These provide the impact cushion needed to prevent damage to your skull, including concussions, brain damge and death.

The most important thing is a PROPERLY INSTALLED AND TIGHTENED HARNESS. I personally like the 5 point variety due to the anti-submarine belt, which keeps you in the seat, and keeps the belt where it needs to be.
Yea...when you really do think about it...I agree. Nvm about the side bar. LOL. dirt is kinda better to hit. LOL I forgot about those neck braces. I think that I might pick one up when I actually get riding (still waiting for someone to say they need a babysitter around here ). I have a DOT helmet because my parents made me get it for my electric scooter (cuz it goes faster than 20) and I never use it. I just use my nice Bell Faction helmet. LOL. And trust me, that 1/2 face DOT helmet makes me look like a fool. I tell ya, I think I'll just save my Points2Shop cash (why did buggy masters delete my thread about this?) to get an actual bmx helm. But until then... Oh...I do believe we have hijacked this thread. LOL woopsie I'll be on my way now...
