The second pic shows clearly the valves have hit the piston. You need to disassemble the valves and springs to see the damage done to the valves, but I would order a set before you go any further.

Is the first pic with the crank at the timing mark? If it is, the timing is definitely off. The 2 marks on the cam sprocket should be level with the plane of the cylinder head.

Again, need to find the culprit before you go any further, otherwise you might be doing this again. Please don't 'shotgun' repair, as they get costly when you guess.
