Those components really can't take a whole lot of pounding. That's why I mounted the box inside the frame. Still gets shook up a good bit but not near as rough as on the swing arm. I used the original mounting rack off the swing arm . it had the cutouts and rubber mounts for the electrical stuff. I have to disagree with you on this one. I work on these buggies as a living and have seen no proof to this. Solenoids and CDI's are one of the least components I have to change out and most if not all 150 buggies have them mounted on the swing arm. As Xlint 89 stated a bad ground is your biggest enemy.
