I did not worry about security issues when converting mine due to the fact of anyone I knew who had an atv or buggy stolen, the vehicles were usually pushed and loaded into a pick up or trailer.However I did install a hidden switch cutting the ignition to avoil unauthorized startups. The best security is to chain or cable lock the vehicle to a solid object. TOM
