That snap you heard could have been a fuse blowing. You may have a wiring problem with the buggy. I had a bad starter (brand new) that stopped turning. It can be anything from a defective stator or maybe just a bad CDI. A stock CDI is about $20. It's worth a try. You can try to contact Roketa and see if they will help you. Check the connectors and make sure they are fully seated. I have a GK-06 and have had problems with the wiring. It may be something simple you've overlooked. Don't give up. If it's still under warranty you may be able to have it replaced.
