IMO your options are simple- just buy a 40/44 series clutch and driven from any of the numerous vendors on the internet! The 40/44 series are still available and parts are still plentiful. Comet though out of business wasn't the only manufacturer.The others look like copies and I would figure they'd perform similarly. I'm sure the 30 series would handle the 14.5 hp but it would have a shorter life span also there's really not enough meat on the inner shaft to have it machined for the 1" shaft and be reliable- not even considering the cost. Also the 30 series drivens are 5/8" bore.
