Interesting thought, but if you follow through make sure it is bungee! I've been thinking about this for a few months now, and it think it's a neat idea, but if you just have some regular nylon or cotton rope, and you roll, you're body/neck might shift to the side, but your helmet might not, I can picture many a neck injuries coming from that...

But I think if it were bungee it would work out.
