There is a lot you can do to the GY6 to wake it up, it depends on what your budget is, as Big E stated there are big bores the larger ones require the case to be bored, stroker cranks, cams, 4 valve heads ect. I would start with the basics first by modding the cvt, and making the engine breath better by installing either a UNI or K&N filter, opening up the exhaust and a rejet. Document your performance than you can add more mods. The mods you do depend on what kind of driving you do eg. low end torque for hill climbing or mid to upper range for all out going faster. If you decide to go into the engine you will need some experience or a good manual being particular to detail and of coarse quality parts. TOM
