Stator not making much charge
I have a Kandi Spyder 250 and its not making much for charge. 12.2V at idle and maybe 12.8 revved up My HH GTS 250 makes an easy 14 V at idle.
Both have aftermarket CDI and Coils, but the Kandi is an integral unit, could this be sucking all the juice or is my stator crap? Any advice, thoughts would be appreciated Mark

All advice leads to the rectifier being the issue, makes perfect sense to me now.
One more stupid question, anyone know what this little black box is? Its mounted with the rectifier.

Don't have a pic and I am away at work now. New rectifier at the post office, just gotta get home, install and check.

In the pic I have posted above, the rectifier is mounted behind the "mystery black box" This black box effects the starting of the buggy, but no one can tell me exactly what it is, including the dealer!
