Default just picked up a carbide...need more power...

I just bought a 07 carbide. The transmission is shot and I 'd like to increase the power a lot and am wondering if it would be cheaper to just buy a new engine or replace the tranny and upgrade from there. Looking for suggestions on either...thanks!

What do you mean by the trans is shot? Does it run and just not move or what? Just curious as to the depth of your knowledge on these things to know what kind of advice to give. Congrats on the new buggy.

The motor turns over and runs but it won't move...and its cracked. Im primarily going to be running it on sand or muddy uphills, that's why I was looking for more power. I am fairly new to the world of buggies and can't wait to get th is thing going. Thanks for your help. MRD.

Do you have a pic of what is cracked? These engines have a drive belt in there so I am thinking that may be a problem with your machine, but I'd like to see what you are saying is cracked to better advise you.
