Default Joyner SV 250

What are the opinions on this buggy? From what I've read everyone seams to think they are the 250 to have. How much would could I expect to pay for a used one in good shape? Are hop up parts available, is there factory support for parts? ect.
Any thoughts?

Joyners are a very sought after buggy. The ride comfort, build quality, and hi/lo tranny on the cf moto 250 engine makes them one of the best out there. Are they underpowered? Of course, but the mods available for the cf moto are almost unlimited. The current parts supply for the buggy itself is at a standstill in the US only, but is said will be flowing again after the first of the year.

The guys that have joyner buggies love them. Can't really say I have heard anything real negative about them. Likewise, I have not owned one just yet to give a solid educated opinion.

cvt, uni, jets. Spend 100-150 and they do pretty good. Or put a polaris 400 in it like me and your set

Here is how mine would climb even with the stock tires with about 1/4" tread on them.

captain,
the joyner has the best of both worlds so to speak. i have a hammerhead 250 and love the hi/low tranny, which the joyner with a cf moto also has. the big difference is the suspension. the joyner is set up much better than most buggies and if you find one with a cf moto, you're all set.

I own 3 at the moment and really like everything about the machine except the turning radius. Here are some videos of mine http://www.youtube.com/user/ejmacsv250?feature=mhum The blue on was set up with a 30mm pumper, aftermarket header and Big Gun pipe, uni filter, and 11g rollers which was great for that area cause you could mash the gas and break the rear tires loose to aid in the quick turns. The black one is set up with a 32mm pumper, uni, 17g sliders, and aftermarket header and Big Gun pipe. It does fairly well, but is fixing to get released back into the wild so I can focus on building my yellow one. One buggy has just hit the market that may quite well end my love affair with the Joyner and that is the BMS Sand Sniper 400. In short though the Joyner is a tough buggy to beat.

On the subject of Joyners, am I the only one who regularly bends tierods? Mine hit the sharp edge of the spindles at full lock.

The yellow one of mine has hit that as well at one time. My buddy Ted's are bent pretty bad as well and is looking for a set. Do you know where to get any?

no, but I imagine they would not be that expensive to have made, or make yourself.
