Go cart governor
Why would you need to remove the governor off of a go cart. I don't really know why

It allows the engine to run at a higher RPM than the factory has designed it too.With the govenor removed paying close attention to max rpm's is vital as to not blow it up. The parts internally are not balanced for more than about 3600 rpm's.

With the gov removed off of my "D.A.R.E." modified tec and subaru ex27 9hp we picked up over 15mph on pavement. Technically, you should upgrade the valve springs and use a good aluminum flywheel if you plan on extended high rpm runs.
