So I killed my NAV....
Went out speed testing the racing kart. When I got done, I set it on the back of my wifes car because the kart has to be pushed back to my building. Then I forgot about it.
Naturally, the wife didn't even notice it sitting on her car the next morning and for once she didn't go tearing out of the driveway. Had she backed up like normal, it would have fell off and landed in grass. Instead, she went putting down the drive till she got on the road. Then she hit the gas and it went flying off the car into the road. The case was pretty well smashed. I took it apart and it actually still works but you have to hold the screen, the battery, and the sat receiver in your hand. Not very convenient. I'm thinking I may be able to duct tape things back together some how. Seems to me someone should make a simple, inexpensive, GPS speedometer. Like for $20 or something since all I need it to do is tell me the speed. |

I would like a GPS that would just do that. Unfortunately, for a GPS to show how fast you were going it would need to know where you are on the planet.
